Advay Ramesh: FELT
FELT — GPS boundary-alert terminal for fishermen.

Reading about Tamil Nadu fishermen arrested for unknowingly crossing the maritime boundary with Sri Lanka, Advay built a handheld GPS unit that warns as a boat nears the line, flags storms and logs good catch locations. He wrote the software; his father helped with hardware. It won the Google Science Fair Community Impact Award for Asia in 2016. The device is the FishErmen Lifeline Terminal, FELT, not "FishermanNet" as some lists have it.
