Anurudh Ganesan: VAXXWAGON
VAXXWAGON — wheel-driven vaccine refrigeration cart.

As an infant in southern India, Ganesan was carried about ten miles to a clinic only to find the vaccines spoiled by heat. Fifteen years later the cold-chain gap was unchanged, so he dismantled a refrigerator to learn the cycle and built a cart whose turning wheels drive the compressor, keeping vaccines at 2–8 °C without ice or electricity. He won the LEGO Education Builder Award at the Google Science Fair 2015 and presented at the White House Science Fair.
