Adrian Alvarez designed a terrestrial robot using multispectral imaging to identify and suppress plant disease. Multispectral cameras can reveal stress signatures that are difficult to see with ordinary colour images, supporting earlier and more selective intervention.

Innovation mindset: Look beyond what the human eye can see, then move the sensor into the field where the problem develops.

Official project title: Year 2: Designing a Terrestrial Plant Disease Suppression Robot Using Multispectral Imaging Techniques (Robotics and Intelligent Machines).
