Uma Sthanu investigated whether regulating prostaglandin E2 could support the regeneration of damaged neurons. Using laboratory techniques to study the response of injured brain cells, she explored a therapeutic direction relevant to neurological injury and disease. The project remains research rather than a patient-ready treatment, but its question is ambitious and medically important.
