MYCrave Academy · Live cohorts

Taught by the people who file — 22,000+ filings behind the syllabus

Live IP courses, taught by practitioners

Every course here is taught by someone who files, drafts and argues for a living. Not a recorded library and not an academic overview — live cohorts, small enough to ask questions in, from a free ninety-minute primer to Patent Agent examination preparation.

22,000+IPR filings behind it

The difference

Learn IP from the people who file it

There is a lot of IP teaching in India delivered by people who have never prosecuted an application. The gap shows up the first time a student meets a real objection.

Practice, not theory

Taught from live matters

Examples come from filings we have run — including the ones that went wrong, which teach more.

Live

Live cohorts, not recordings

Small enough to ask questions in, and to have your draft critiqued rather than auto-marked.

Output

You leave able to do something

Draft a specification, run a classification-led search, answer an FER. Not recognise the words.

Route

A ladder, not a catalogue

A free primer, then foundation, professional and certification — each level assuming the last.

Practicalities

How the courses run

Live, online

Delivered live so questions get answered in the room. Session times are listed on each course page.

Fixed cohorts

Courses run to a batch calendar rather than on demand, so everyone moves through together.

Certificate on completion

Issued for every course that carries one — marked on each course card above.

Practical assessment

Drafting and searching courses are assessed on work you produce, not on multiple choice.

A route onward

Foundation feeds professional, professional feeds certification. Each level assumes the one before it.

Seats are limited

Cohort sizes are capped deliberately. Availability for the next batch is shown on each course page.

Straight answers

Frequently asked questions

Which course should I start with?

If you are not sure, start with IPR Essentials — it is ninety minutes, it is free, and it exists precisely to answer this question. If you are a student protecting project work, IP for College Projects. If you are a business owner, Trademark Basics. If you already work in IP and want the craft, start at Professional level.

Are the courses live or recorded?

Live. Every course runs as a live cohort on a fixed calendar, because the value is in asking questions and having your work critiqued — neither of which a recording does. It also means cohorts have limited seats and fixed start dates rather than being available on demand.

Do I need a legal or technical background?

Not for the foundation courses — they are written for absolute beginners and assume nothing. Professional-level courses assume you already understand what the four rights are and what a specification is, which the foundation level or working experience will give you. Patent Agent examination preparation assumes considerably more, and the course page sets out what.

Will a course qualify me to practise?

No course qualifies anyone to practise on its own. Acting as a patent agent in India requires passing the Patent Agent Examination and being registered — our exam preparation course prepares you for that examination, it does not substitute for it. The other courses build capability and issue certificates, which is a different thing from a licence.

Can our institution run a course for a whole cohort?

Yes — that is what the bulk seat programme and the Faculty Development Programme are for. Both are scheduled around your academic calendar, and institutions usually buy them alongside an IP cell, since the training is what makes the cell function.

Is there a free option?

Yes. IPR Essentials is free, and so is a campus session for institutions — no cost, no obligation and no sales pitch at the end. Both exist because the biggest problem in this field is not that people choose badly; it is that they do not know the question exists.

Cohort sizes are capped

Not sure which one fits?

Tell us where you are starting from — student, founder, faculty member or working in IP already — and we will point you at the right level. If the honest answer is the free ninety-minute one, that is what you will be told.

Institutional programmes are quoted against cohort size and calendar rather than sold per seat.
